✨ A heartfelt thank you to Paul and Angie and the team at House in the Woods in Lee, Maine for hosting our Rotary Club of Old Town on a field trip last night! ✨
House in the Woods was founded in memory of Paul’s son, Joel, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Out of that loss grew a powerful mission: to provide healing retreats in the Maine woods for veterans, active duty service members, and their families. 💙🇺🇸
Through outdoor experiences like fishing, hunting, hiking, and connecting with fellow veterans and military members, House in the Woods offers a place of peace, healing, and camaraderie for those who have served and sacrificed.
We are so grateful for the chance to learn more about this incredible mission and the impact it has on so many lives. It was a wonderful evening spent together for a truly wonderful cause — and we left feeling like part of the family. 🙏
They also host Coffee with Veterans on the third Wednesday of every month — a great opportunity to stop in, connect, and see for yourself the amazing community they’ve built. ☕️🇺🇸
